The SlabShield 35pt Magnetic Card Case is a clear acrylic magnetic card holder — a “one-touch” — for a single trading card. It closes with a recessed magnet rather than screws, so a card goes in and comes out in seconds with no screwdriver and no risk of over-tightening. The acrylic is UV-protective, acid-free and non-PVC, and the corners are diamond-cut so the case sits square on a shelf or in a display.

What does 35pt mean?

Pt is short for point, the trade measure for card thickness. One point is one thousandth of an inch, so 35pt is 0.035 inch, or about 0.89 mm. That is the thickest card this holder will take.

In practice that covers almost everything you own. A standard modern trading card — Pokémon, Lorcana, One Piece, Magic, or a sports base card — is around 12pt, roughly 0.3 mm, so it sits comfortably inside with room to spare. A card inside a penny sleeve still fits easily.

What does not fit is a genuinely thick card: patch, relic, jersey and memorabilia cards run 55pt, 75pt, 100pt, 130pt or more, and those need a case rated for that thickness. If you are unsure, measure the card — anything under 0.89 mm is fine in a 35pt case.
