Slab Bags
A slab bag is a bag built around graded cards rather than one you hope will do. Taking slabs out of the house is where most of them get damaged: a backpack means loose holders knocking together, and a hard case means carrying a hard case. A crossbody slab bag is the middle option — small enough to wear all day at a show, built so the slabs inside are not fending for themselves.
The SlabShield Crossbody Slab Bag is made from lightweight, water-resistant nylon with a zipped main compartment sized to carry multiple graded cards, plus secure zip closures and an adjustable SlabShield branded shoulder strap in a compact sling cut.
The display window
The part collectors tend to buy a slab bag for is the front pocket. One slab slides into a dedicated display panel behind a clear window, so your grail is on the outside of the bag rather than buried in it — which at a card show, a trade night or a convention is rather the point. Unlike our cases and guards, which are cut to PSA’s holder, the display window is not grader-specific: any graded slab fits, whether it came back from PSA, BGS, CGC, TAG or ACE.
Colourways
Both slab bags are £25.99: Blush Pink and Beige.
Carrying versus posting
Carrying a slab is one thing; sending one is another. If you are posting a graded card rather than pocketing it, our guide to posting a graded card safely in the UK covers which Royal Mail service actually covers it and how to pack a slab so it survives the journey.
Travelling with raw cards too? Magnetic card holders keep those rigid in the main compartment, and bumper guards armour the slabs you are carrying.
Before a show it helps to know what is in the bag. Catalogue your collection free in the SlabShield Vault, mark cards for trade, and keep a wants list on your phone — Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana and Magic are all catalogued.
